| Out of curiosity... does anyone else who downloaded the EF2 demo have a problem of the console (`/~ key) not dropping down?

| I'm still downloading. Perhaps they use a different key for the console (a lot of games, do). Or the console is disabled and you have to modify some ini file.

It's still bound to the `/~ key... I had to modify the cfg file manually as it was just to alter some settings.
Even bound it to a different key, and nothing happened!
It could have been disabled in the pre-release demo though, otherwise it's some weird glitch.

Thanks. It works now for me. That's a weird looking console, got used to the normal QuakeIII ones.
They've definately added some new stuff, only hope they still have the memory allocation variables in the final release and they keep the same system requirements... I only have a PIII600/32MB video card.
Is it just me, or does this one, although it seems like it'd be a good one, seem more violent than most Star Trek games? There's actually a Star Trek "don't do" thing of blood (well, alien, but still)...

Yes, I got this impression too, although blasting the aliens like that sure is fun  The action is also more extreme than in EF1. When the first cutscene ended, I was looking forward to the usual buildup, you know, not seeing any enemies for some time, only corpses and screams, etc. But the enemies came right from the start. Not bad, but definitely different.

| Since I only have a 56k, it'll take ages for me to download it. It took a while for me to download Colony7 though, and it was worth it.
